Hay fever...already? It may seem a little early but for some people, the symptoms have started and for others, taking preventative steps now is worth considering as it can make a big difference to how you ‘suffer’ in the season.
So when is the season? This all depends on what triggers your hay fever. The pollen calendar starts in January and runs through until October. There are three main pollen types - grass, tree and weed. While January has a low pollen count, tree pollen is on the up – specifically hazel, yew, alder and willow trees. In February – add in ash, elm and birch pollen. This month will see an increase in reaction to elm, alder, willow and poplar pollen. Follow us on our social channels and in store for hay fever tips and advice throughout March.
