CELEBRATE HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
Join Queens Library for National Hispanic Heritage Month! Community libraries across Queens will be celebrating with musical performances, author talks, film screenings and more. Plus, follow our blog for the next four weeks as we highlight books from our collection by celebrated Hispanic authors.

National Hispanic Heritage Month is from September 15 to October 15 and celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America (Source: www.hispanicheritagemonth.gov).

Lead by Garifuna Dancer/Singer/Composer Felix Gamboa Valentin, The Garifuna International Band (also known as International Garifuna Band) is pure energy, encapsulating the music, dance, and culture of Africa, the Caribbean and Central America.
