The latest news and ideas from Shutter Hub
Just a quick update on what's been going on in the world of Shutter Hub, and some ideas on how you can get involved...
Our own exhibition calendar is looking interesting with the Shutter Hub OPEN exhibition currently running, and voting for 'Best in Show' still open - you can see all the images from the show and cast your vote here.
We recently issued a call for entries to our next exhibition, Do You Like Love? which is an opportunity to show your work in a Central London location (Brick Lane) as part of Photomonth International Photography Festival. Entry is free for Shutter Hub members, so why not submit your work?
It's been a busy time for photography students, with end of year shows and the annual Free Range exhibitions and events, which this year included work by Shutter Hub members from Edinburgh College (one of whom is Anneleen Lindsay whose work is shown above).
Our Close Up series continues this month as we focus on Memento by Vicky Boylan, whilst Margaret Mitchell's review of the 'tweed and bowler hat' world of The Queen's Backyard by Anderson & Low was entertaining and insightful. Shutter Hub member Nicolas Laborie shows his Wet Plate Collodion work as part of Chemcraft at Espacio Gallery, whilst Alexandra Lethbridge releases a third edition of her book The Meteorite Hunter.
Check our recently updated Opportunities section for some specially selected photography based jobs, exhibitions, competitions, commissions, workshops, courses and more.
As always you can get in touch by email, Twitter, or Facebook with any news, requests or ideas. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Have a great day,
the Shutter Hub team.
