Head to Heal with Naturopathic Medicine
Winter Quarterly 2015

Happy Winter Solstice! Celebrate with the gift of health!

As we move towards the shortest day of the year and winter settles in for her turn at the controls, our inclination in the colder, darker months is to move inwards and hopefully that will give us the time to take care of our dynamic selves and help our bodies thrive. One of  the ways a body thrives is by being loose and feeling nimble. Osteopathy can help us achieve this. We are very excited that 5th year Osteopathic Student Travis Cuddington (see his article on Osteopathy below) will join us at Head to Heal Family Wellness for a few weeks this December 2015 through January 2016. A gift of manual therapy/osteopathic session would make a brilliant present for you or for your loved ones, and it is a very clever gift, as it is one that keeps on giving – since people feel better after a physical tune up! We have gift certificates available to gift the services of any of the practitioners at Head to Heal Family Wellness.

With 2015 coming to a close, now is a great time to check to see how much coverage remains for your extended benefits for health insurance. If they do expire at the end of this 2015 calendar year, book in for any number of treatments (acupuncture, naturopathic medicine, massage, nutrition etc.) with our practitioners before year’s end!

December 26th, Boxing Day, our dispensary is open shortened hours from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and we will be offering 5-10% off of everything in the dispensary, hope you will benefit from our holiday cheer. We will be closed on December 25th and closing a little earlier at 2:00 pm on the 24th, 26th & 31st of December 2015.

Operation Stocking, we are collecting any toiletries, warm socks and toques, that you would like to donate for Souls Harbour, an organization whose mandate is to rescue people from poverty and addiction. They are looking for shampoos, conditioners, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, shaving cream, combs and body lotion, warm socks, mitts and toques.  Please drop off your items to us  by December 23rd, 2015 and we will take them our collective items.

Wishing you and your family abundance in health, love and happiness, may you be deeply nourished in the new year of the monkey.

Peace in 2016!
From all of us at Head to Heal Family Wellness

Is Your Body a Toxic Waste Container?

Think about what your house would look like if you never did any housekeeping or never removed garbage for 20, 30, 40 or more years. It would smell, it would start deteriorating and falling apart, and the creepy crawlers and bugs would be everywhere.

Now think about your body...

Holidays, Stress and Adaptogenic Herbs

Some people can get whipped into a right frenzy during the holiday season. More socializing, more pace, more late nights and more spending, really ramp up the stress.
