Our featured missionaries this month are Brad and Glaucia Meyer who serve in Brazil hosting missionaries and pastors by providing a ministry retreat much like EdenRidge. After much time and effort in searching for just the right property, God opened the door for them to establish Green Mountain Oasis in Monte Verde, Brazil, in November 2015. Theirs is the only biblical model of retreat ministry in all of Brazil.

Brad and Glaucia have the privilege of serving guests come from all over the world by hosting pastors, church planters, and missionaries in their home for the purpose of coaching, debriefing, loving on them, and being ‘foot-washers,’ as one guest described it.

They commented that much prayer and groundwork goes into preparing for each guest. Glaucia is uniquely gifted in preparing home-cooked meals and creating a warm, aesthetically pleasing environment in which to welcome their guests. It’s their calling and joy to invest their time, effort, and God-given insights into encouraging and strengthening their guests so they’re able to return to their ministries with renewed vim and vigor.

Recently, Brad and Glaucia were in the United States and took some time away from serving others to enjoy much-needed rest at EdenRidge.  “We felt so appreciated. The cabins were amazing. Beautifully decorated. Most important was the peace and quiet,” stated Glaucia. Brad agreed, “The views were amazing and we loved that there were so many places to hike and walk.”

For missionaries considering time at EdenRidge, Brad & Glaucia strongly recommend that you stay at least 3 or 4 nights, “Otherwise you are not allowing yourself enough time to be refreshed,” Brad and Glaucia stated.

Join us in praying for Brad and Glaucia as they lovingly serve God’s servants in beautiful Monte Verde, Brazail. To learn more about Green Mountain Oasis, we will get you in contact with Brad and Glaucia when you email

Listening to a podcast the other day, a survival expert was giving a talk on the do's and don’ts of safety survival. I was half-listening until he very loudly exclaimed, STOP! Now he had my full attention. He proceeded to use this word in acrostic form; S - Sit, T - Think, O - Observe and P - Plan. How many times would the outcome of some of our aspirations and inspirations have taken a different route, if we had followed all of these steps, instead of just one or two?

As I began to peruse this teaching, I quickly realized that another P was essential. STOPP — We need to spend significant time in prayer before we make or walk into any plans.

All throughout the book of Exodus, Moses expressed the need for STOPPing. He found that he needed to continuously remind the Israelites that they needed to be still, to think and stand firm, pray and follow God’s plan. As missionaries, we need to have this sign posted in front of us as part of our daily safety survival. It’s good to remember, if we do not adhere to these important steps, we may find ourselves, like the Israelites, walking in circles and never getting effectively to our destination.

Praying for you to STOPP today:)

Creatively His, Sue
