SHEKINAH  RANCH

We are pleased to announce that Shekinah Ranch, a retreat center located in Grand County, Colorado, has been named as our first official Ministry Partner.  Shekinah Ranch, who’s vision is “Away from the Battle… Alone with the Lord,” was founded by Don and Mari McDavid and is located on a beautiful 105 acre property in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

Oliver Dossmann, Mission to Missionaries’ President, explains “This partnership is a fantastic opportunity for EdenRidge and Shekinah Ranch to both broaden their ministry reach. We’re excited to be able to promote, together, two retreat centers for missionaries and Christian leaders: EdenRidge in Tennessee and Shekinah Ranch in Colorado.

As part of the partnership, Mission to Missionaries’ New Development Director, Christy Stumbo, helped with the design of Shekinah Ranch’s first cabin. Christy explains “Getting connected with Shekinah Ranch was one of many of God’s graces to me this last year. I am thrilled to have been included in this endeavor and am excited to see not only the design of the cabin come to fruition, but the ministry of serving workers as well! I am confident this will be a place God will use to provide rest for His children.”

The ministry’s first cabin is slated to open in the Spring of 2019. To make a reservation or to simply learn more about Shekinah Ranch, please visit www.ShekinahRanch.org.

THE  EXTRAORDINARY  MISSIONARY

As Bible Translators in Paraguay, South America, Jamie and Char, with Ethnos360, do not find much time to rest.  As God’s word states in Luke 10:2, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.”

Char says, “EdenRidge helped us to re-arm ourselves with the whole armor of God, giving us time to rest, and reflect on our All-Powerful God!”

“We were exhausted. Over 10,000 miles of travel, speaking in a dozen churches, having our daughter get married and our youngest leave home had left us drained during our short four months in the USA. Our stay at EdenRidge was a time to truly relax, be refreshed by the great Physician, and bask in the splendor of our great Creator. The beauty of the place, both in nature and the cabin, brought my wife to tears. Thank you so much for showing us biblical hospitality and giving us the chance to enjoy the luxurious facilities, something we could have not done without your generosity. We really needed a time away before flying back to the mission field. Thank you so much.  We are already looking forward to next time!”

Join us in praying for the ministry of Jamie and Char as they continue to serve and bring the gospel to God’s children in Paraguay.

THE  EDITOR’S  CORNER

This time of year always bring reflection. As we welcome this New Year, it is important that we take time to look back and acknowledge all the places where God showed up.

As I poured through the book of Luke this month, I was reminded that Jesus showed up to reveal grace and hope to everyone He met.  He showed up so that they could find Him. “The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10)

We are honored at EdenRidge to prepare a place for missionaries to rest. We exist to serve those who have committed their lives to ‘showing up’ and continuing the work that Jesus put in place.

We wish you all a very Happy and Blessed New Year.  We hope to see you at EdenRidge this coming year!

Creatively His,
Sue Mohr
Editor-In-Chief
