Joy.
What brings you joy today?
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
Luke 2:10-11
Merry Christmas! We pray you are enjoying this beautiful, festive season and are experiencing the joy that life in Jesus has to offer.
Joy for us is…
Learning Swahili with Doreen our language helper and seeing joy sparkle in the National’s eyes as they see us earnestly trying to learn their language (okay … sometimes the sparkle comes with laughter, but it’s still joy!). We are in week 4 and will continue until the end of January.

Keeping the equipment God has given AIM AIR safely operating and serving those who serve. Joel went in a couple afternoons after language this past week to help inspect and return to service the Caravan and 206. South Sudan is on the verge of a civil war and these airplanes are desperately needed to evacuate those serving in ministry in that area. Please pray for this situation as it is very volatile at this time.

Seeing that a loving heart, a listening ear, and being willing to step into the lives of those God brings in our path goes a long way…

Joy is loving the creatures God has made and put under our care. Kibebe (Princess in Swahili) was sleeping in our backyard a few weeks ago. She was so weak she had lost her meow. A few meals later she found her meow, then her purr. She’s now our adopted mouse/rat trapper. She’s way cuter than the spring loaded variety, safer than poison, and we don’t have to dispose of the bodies (of mice, of course!)

And finally, Joy is Family! Our family, and our family in Christ (which is all of you!) We want to thank all of you who played a part in getting us to Africa to be able to experience these joys. We pray we can continue to spread Jesus' Joy to all those we come in contact with.
Merry Christmas! We Pray you continue to see and thank God for His blessings everywhere this Christmas season!
Love,
Joel, LaReina, Renee and Ian
P.S. For a sneak peek into “ What’s Next”, we will be driving to the "Out of Nairobi" base in Arua, Uganda December 27 th to January 6 th for a Vision Trip. PLEASE KEEP US IN YOUR PRAYERS AT THAT TIME. We will be caravanning with one of the families (Mike and Ana Palmiter) based out there for safer travels, but prayers are what will keep us safe! Also pray that the Lord will lead us to and make it very apparent where He wants us to be based.
We continually Praise God for our prayer and financial team. If God has laid on your heart to be a part of this and what He is doing in Africa through us, please respond to this email with your interest. Or simply visit Kingsinafrica. There are always needs to operate in a 3rd world country and unexpected expenses that arise. We would love to share these specific needs with you.
