International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated annually on March 8. It is a day to centre the women's rights movement, elevating the much-needed attention to issues such as gender equity, reproductive rights and violence and abuse against women. This year's IWD campaign theme is #EmbraceEquity to get the world thinking and talking about why equal opportunities aren't enough. Equality means each individual or group of people is given the same resources or opportunities. Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome. With each individual having so many layers, starting from different places, and different experiences, true inclusion and belonging require equitable action rather than equal action (International Women's Day, 2023).

International Women's Day EXCLUSIVE Apparel Fundraiser 

In honour of International Women’s Day, we are selling the following items for a limited time. There is no guarantee that these designs will be back. 100% of proceeds go back to Fast and Female to help support girls and women in sport.

How it works: 

PREORDERS will be collected until March 20th at midnight. Then all orders will be processed, and the apparel will be made to order. This will take about two weeks. Once the apparel is ready, it will be shipped to you at the address provided or available for pick-up in Calgary or Toronto. Please note that all orders are final sale. In addition, you can order our regular, in-stock merchandise at the same time. These items will be shipped when PREORDER items are ready.

How to get your order: 

Shipping and Pick Up options will be available. Shipping has a flat rate of $20 per order. Pick Up is available only in Toronto and Calgary. You will be contacted with more details once orders are ready. If you have any additional questions, please check out our FAQs!

Calling all 14-17 year-old girls in Calgary and Toronto! Join us for a morning of empowerment with Athleta!

The fitting room in clothing stores is often an intimidating space for women and girls. Will the clothes fit? How will I look in them? Will I look like the model? What if it doesn’t fit?

What if we switched the script on the fitting room? What if we made the fitting room a space to see our true beauty, strength, and power? What if we stopped trying to simply fit our bodies into clothes but have the clothes fit our bodies in a way that serves us?

This workshop will EMPOWER you in a space where women and girls can feel powerless.

WHEN: 

  • Saturday, March 18, 8:30 am - 10:00 am MT at Athleta, CF Chinook Centre, Calgary AB
  • Sunday, March 19, 9:00 am - 10:30 am ET at Athleta, CF Eaton Centre, Toronto ON
