Welcome to our November newsletter.
This is an exciting month for Collaborate as we welcome Sir Bob Kerslake, Deborah Cadman OBE and Dr Helen Bevan as they probe this argument further, exploring the future of leadership and management in public services. This exciting discussion event will kick off a fascinating upcoming programme of work on future cross-sector leadership, and we are privileged to be learning from some of the most creative leaders working to improve services to the public today.
Working across the commissioner-provider divide is the focus of a great new publication to be launched on 26th November from Collaborate and the Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland (CCPS) . Based on extensive interviews and workshops, our report asks what it will take to foster a more collaborative, integrated model of social work service delivery in the country. This is a fascinating snapshot of public services in Scotland at a time of great energy and change. There is much that we can learn from north of the border!
Working together to deliver great thinking, culture and practice is what we do here at Collaborate, so I am delighted to welcome Sarah Billiald to the team as our new managing director. Sarah will be known to many of you as a public service leader, innovator and force for creative good - you can read her bio on our website to learn of her leap from previous roles as CEO of Kent Probation, and previously at the Cabinet Office and the National Audit Office.
As ever we are keen to hear your input, stories and suggestions as we develop our 'shared space' for collaboration in services to the public. If you would like to hear more about our work, or talk to us about how Collaborate could support your organisation, please drop us a line.
Have a great month.
