PREMED DIVISION ELECTION INFORMATION
 

We are now accepting applications for the 2017-2018 National Premed Leadership positions (here)! Last day to submit applications is January 3rd, 2017!

Please note that this year, leadership positions will be filled through elections. We will be conducting elections via an online ballot in order to allow the opportunity for all of our members to participate in voting. Polls open February 1st and close February 28th 2017.

All applicants for all positions must attend the Annual Meeting in March 2017 at which the results will be announced. Also feel free to contact us or the person who currently holds the position in which you are interested here. For questions on application, election, and appointment process, please feel encouraged to contact our President-Elect, Laura Ballentine. AMWA is your organization and we invite you to shape its future!
JIM HELLER ANNUAL MEETING TRAVEL GRANTS

Student Travel Grant Applications Now Open!
Deadline 11:59 PM EST, December 22th, 2016

AMWA recognizes the financial assistance our student members may need when planning to attend our meeting. We offer extremely discounted registration prices to our student members. In addition, we offer travel grants to make our conference more affordable for those who have a greater cost. Applications for travel grants each year are available beginning in the fall and accepted on a rolling basis.

AMWA student members are eligible to apply for support in traveling to the Annual AMWA Meeting. Special consideration will be given to students presenting posters, running for national leadership positions, volunteering, or traveling from more distant locations.

More than 80 students received Jim Heller Travel Grants for the 101st Annual Meeting in 2016.

We are pleased to announce that we are starting to accept applications for our new feature on our newsletter, Student of the Month!  Every member has the opportunity to apply.  We will be accepting applications throughout the entire 2016-2017 term.  If you are selected for Student of the Month, you will be recognized in our monthly newsletter.  A student will be selected every month.  If you are interested in applying, please click here. Interested in hosting an AMWA premed symposium at your campus? Inform other students about AMWA, host medical student and medical school admission panels, and invite vendors to your institution! Our PreMed division is currently building our own branch programming handbook! Please submit a summary of your chapter's activities, events, fundraisers, and more to premedprogramming@amwa-student.org for your chapter's chance to be in our handbook!
PRESENT AT PREMED AND BRANCH PRESENTATIONS
 
Interested in presenting at a national conference? Please look out for the application to apply to for spots to present at our every own PreMed Presentation session and Branch Presentations. This is a great opportunity for students to present at a national conference. Applications will be sent out to the division and posted on the website within the next week.
