We will be featuring two speakers. Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Norma Jo Waxman, an Associate Professor Professor of Family and Community Medicine at UCSF. Our second speaker will be Dr. Brigid McCaw, who is the clinical lead for Kaiser's Family Violence Prevention Program. The event will include a panel of health professional students, such as MD students, DO students, and students in the UCSF UC Berkeley Joint Medical Program, who will discuss their path to medicine and their career goals. Princeton Review will be holding a workshop on getting into medical school, and we will also have an exhibition fair featuring Samuel Merritt University, UC Davis School of Medicine, and various on campus student organizations.

Hello!  My name is Katelyn, and I am honored to be serving as the treasurer this year.  I am currently a junior at the University of Notre Dame and I aspire to be an intensive care pediatrician.  I have been a part of AMWA both nationally and on my campus since my freshman year and it has created some incredible opportunities for me.  One of the highlights of my AMWA experience was attending the conference in Chicago last year.  It was inspirational to be surrounded by so many successful female doctors and aspiring students.  I have also enjoyed becoming a part of the South Bend health community through the AMWA branch at Notre Dame.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or requests at  Can’t wait to work with you this year!
