The study is based on six years of data from a cohort of 3,400 seventh grade students in a California school district.

The Center for IDEA Fiscal Reporting (CIFR) at WestEd helps build the capacity of state education agencies (SEAs) in their federal special education fiscal data collection and reporting obligations.

SEAs receive general, targeted, and intensive support through knowledge development, tool and template development, and technical assistance and dissemination activities.
