Pharmacy: Residency program garners ASHP award
VCU Health System’s PGY1 Pharmacy Practice program has received the ASHP Foundation’s 2013 Residency Excellence Award. The award was presented in December during the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists 2013 Midyear Meeting in n Orlando, Fla. The year-one program has been providing pharmacy residencies at VCU for 42 years. Read more.
Pharmacy: Save the date for Emswiller Symposium
VCU’s second Jewell and Carl Emswiller Interprofessional Symposium, “From Interdisciplinarity to Interprofessionality: Changing How Care is Delivered,” takes place 8 a.m.-4:15 p.m. March 1 at the Richmond Marriott. The keynote speaker is Barbara Brandt. The symposium is named for late School of Pharmacy alumnus Carl Emswiller (B.S.’62/P) and his widow, Jewell. Read more.
