Alumni Profile
Henrisa Tosoc-Haskell (M.S.’88/N; M.S.H.A.’02/AHP) wasn’t looking for a career change, but when she witnessed the commitment and passion of the team at the United Network for Organ Sharing, she knew she needed to be a part of it. Last summer, she joined the Richmond, Virginia-based organization as director of member quality. In just a short time, she’s successfully merged two departments and inspired a new vision for how UNOS views quality and performance improvement. VCU Alumni members can also read about Tosoc-Haskell when they receive their copy of the alumni magazine in the mail later this spring. Campus Connection
During May commencement ceremonies, Pamela El (B.S.’83/MC; H.L.D.’16), executive vice president and chief marketing officer of the NBA, challenged Virginia Commonwealth University’s newest graduates to find their passion: “Celebrate today and never, ever forget this feeling that you have right now. Then, after you celebrate today, find something great that only you can do … and do it. Find your passion and showcase it to the world.” With more than 30 years’ experience, El is recognized as an industry leader for her expertise in brand management, marketing strategy, creative development and media and sponsorships. VCU awarded more than 5,000 professional, graduate and undergraduate degrees at the May 14 ceremony at the Richmond Coliseum.
