Pharmacy: Lowenthal Symposium a success
In May, VCU School of Pharmacy’s Biennial Lowenthal Symposium attracted nearly 120 faculty, students, alumni, researchers and industry representatives. Hilda Meth (B.S.’62/H&S; M.S.’67/H&S; M.S.’67/AHP) funded the symposium in honor of her late husband, Werner Lowenthal (M.Ed.’79/E). Meth offered a few memories from her husband's tenure as a pharmacy and pharmaceutics professor at the school. Read more.
Pharmacy: Alumni magazine distributed
The spring/summer 2014 edition of the Rx Exchange, which features stories about community engagement, Dean Victor Yanchick’s retirement, Dean Joseph DiPiro’s hiring and photo galleries from recents events, has been released and distributed. VCU School of Pharmacy alumni and donors should have received official copies. Read more.
Pharmacy: Class of 2014 hailed as newest alumni
Tana Kaefer (Pharm.D.’04/P) welcomed the Pharm.D. Class of 2014 as the newest alumni at the VCU School of Pharmacy’s annual Senior Banquet in May. Kaefer, who is vice president of the MCV Alumni Association’s Pharmacy Division, also helped present the MCV Alumni Association Award to graduating student Kara Scottalong with Bronwyn Burnham (B.S.’89/P).
