Rita Saleem, a senior in the School of Business, believes that people can grow by learning from the experiences of others. That philosophy is what pushed her to join the school’s CONNECT mentoring program, which provides a way for students to cultivate professional relationships with alumni and friends of the university before they enter the workplace. Her only regret is that she didn’t join the program sooner.

With “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” breaking box-office records, VCU Libraries decided to dig deep into its collection to highlight a few of its hidden “Star Wars” gems. Among the 175,000 items in the Comic Arts Collection of VCU Libraries’ Special Collections and Archives are hundreds of “Star Wars” comics, magazines, pop-up books, novelizations, fanzines and children’s books.
