"We need help!" Two different relationships. One couple married. The other not. Both couples unchurched. Both relationships in need of a Savior.
We began Biblical Counseling with the first couple 8 weeks ago. We have seen God move in incredible ways. W has rededicated his life to the Lord. They are like sponges, soaking up the Word of God and working hard to apply it to their lives. They will be getting married Nov. 2nd after living together for 4 years and having a child together. They are back in church. Please be praying for W & N as they continue to grow in the Lord and grow in their love and commitment to each other as they get married.
Last week we began Biblical Counseling with our second couple. They've been married for a number of years but are currently separated. We've been praying for their salvation for a couple of years. His mother has attended New Hope for quite some time and her family's salvation has weighed heavy on her heart. Curtis and I were able to lead both K & J to the Lord last week. As we were explaining the Gospel with them K said "I've never heard it explained like that before. I want to do that right now... with my wife beside me." We begin our sessions of Biblical Counseling and Discipleship with this couple. Pray God would grow them in their relationship with Him and they can re-build their marriage on Christ as their foundation.
Pray for Curtis and I as we meet with these two couples. It has been exciting to see God open the doors and to work in the lives of these two couples. It's also proved to be a very busy time for us- pray we can keep our schedules and priorities in line.
Rachel's Aunt Pam moved into a Nursing Home Facility 2 weeks ago. She is adapting well. We are grateful for the wonderful staff there who have made this transition so wonderful for all of us. Please pray for us as we continue to minister to her and now a nursing home full of people.
Rachel's after school homework help for 4 children is going well. We are happy to minister to this family.
Awana started this past week. Pray for the kids and families who are being reached by the Gospel. Pray also for Curtis as he is the Awana Commander again this year.
Rachel is leading a ladies Bible study on Tuesday Evenings. They are studying "Calm my Anxious Heart" by Linda Dillow. It's been a great 3 weeks so far and we are learning a lot about finding contentment.
Curtis has started a new Sermon Series on the names of God. Be covering Curtis in prayer as he brings messages on who God is and how we should respond to Him.
