Start practicing your dance moves for our two optional flash mobs during the dance! When either of the two songs are played students can participate by dancing the choreographed moves for that song. Connecting with Math Assessments
Have you been wanting your child to show you exactly how they did on their math test but receive an answer like “we took it online so I can’t bring it home.”?

Good news! When students take a math assessment (test or quiz) on Illuminate the test and individual responses can be viewed by logging into Illuminate, going to the Assessments on the left tab, selecting the recent test. If you click ‘Review the Assessment’ you can find more information about the test.
From our Principal
Our teachers are dedicated to helping students know what to expect from large assignments and helping them process how they did after the assignment is completed and how to make sense of the feedback. In educational speak this is a dedication to checking for understanding, formative assessment, and feedback. We do this because we want students to demonstrate their understanding of the content. Teachers don’t want to catch kids off guard but want to help prepare them to demonstrate what they know.

A lot of what teachers do with students is done in the classroom through reviewing the prompts of assignments, providing time for questions and clarification, providing samples, reviewing the rubric so students know how they will be graded. After the assessment our teachers go over student samples to show the difference between a low scoring and high scoring sample. This work is done inside the classroom with students and it sometimes does not translate to your conversations at home. This is one of the reasons that we offer tours each week, so that parents can step back into the classroom and see the interactions to help envision your child in class at school. If you would like to join a tour call the office at 562-912-7017.

To live and learn well,
Principal Bryant

Click on "Forms" and begin!

Two notes!
1. Forms are only accessible via the PARENT log in, not the student's log in. Please contact Danielle for support with your parent log in.
2. 7th graders! Your Museum of Tolerance permission slip is one of your forms.

Please complete forms by January 28
