From Our Principal
Dear IVA Families!

Did you know that we have our very own channel on YouTube!? It features over a dozen really great videos that give viewers an insight into who we are. You ought to check them out and share them with someone who might want to know more about our free public middle school in Long Beach! Click here!

To live and learn well,

English in a Minute @ IVA

We asked and you responded!! Most families would prefer to have one fundraiser where you can donate a monetary amount to reach our fundraising goals. Our PTA goal for this year is $34,000 ($200 per student) which will go toward supporting field trips for the kids, events like the Fall and Winter dance, classroom enhancements, benches for the lunch areas, a raised bed garden for our green team, lockers, and much, much more. All this simply for reading great books as a family.

How to donate? Login online or send a check directly to the IVA office made out to the IVA PTA. Then our other events can focus on bringing us together as a community, with no wrapping paper or cookie dough to sell ☺
Results from the last meet have been posted and our own Division 1 Boys earned FIRST PLACE! Way to go, Foxes! Here is a link for all of the results from the meet.

In other great team news, our D-1 Girls and D-2 placed third, and our D-2 Girls placed fourth. Both individual and team results are posted on the FIYA website.

A huge THANK YOU to all of you who were a part of the 2015 cross country season! Thank you to everyone who was able to provide snacks, drinks, carpooling, and encouragement for the meets.

A reminder that optional basketball practices are Tuesday after school from 3:30pm-5:00pm here at IVA! We are getting a head start on the season and all are welcome to attend. Practices will be held weekly on Tuesdays after school for the next couple of weeks. Do not worry if you cannot attend a practice; it does not mean that you will not be allowed to try out for the team.
