Family Advisory: Studying Empathy

Central to IVA's mission to create an atmosphere that inspires growth in the personal qualities of excellent thinkers is a weekly, virtues-based Advisory, in which every student participates.

During the holidays we encourage you to continue these conversations at home by providing you with a conversation guide that you can select from. These "assignments" are not graded, required, and won't even give you extra credit but we do hope they provide your family with some meaningful conversation where you can practice our IVA values

See this Thanksgiving's Family Advisory Assignment and have a happy holiday from the IVA faculty and staff.
LBUSD Public Hearing - Thank you, families!
Last week many IVA families attended the LBUSD public hearing, an element of the 5 year charter renewal process. The speakers for IVA included our board chairman, Dr. Eric Churchill, 8th grader Grace Evans, and Principal Bryant. Mrs. Bryant's favorite moment was asking the IVA families to stand and realizing in that setting the effective impact our our school. Thank you all for what you do to make this meaningful education possible.
