Choicelunch - no lunch on Friday, Dec 23
To give the Choicelunch staff time off for the holidays, Choicelunch will not serve lunch on Friday, Dec. 23. Please plan to send a lunch with your student.
From the Office: going on vacation early?
If you are leaving town before December 23rd, please set up independent studies by emailing As a charter school, IVA can allow independent studies* for 1 day of absence. Please contact the office if you know in advance you will be missing school. Our school is funded directly from the state of California based on students' daily attendance and each absence cuts into our current budget. We do not receive funds from LBUSD. Thank you!!

*Independent studies helps students complete assignments when they are absent instead of needing to make up work upon their return and helps our school recoup lost funding from absences.
Athletics: Basketball
  • Practices will continue on Thursdays from 1:15-3:00 pm for the month of December
  • Season begins beginning of January and runs through the end of February
  • Check your email for any additional information or updates
