Europeana Fashion Project

Over the past months Europeana Fashion has been working behind-the-scenes to deliver Europe's richest fashion heritage.

Over 300.000 items are now available in our portal ( Moreover, our Tumblr continues to be a source of inspiring content, hand-picked by our partners. We also look back at our last conference in April, which can now be viewed online, and forward to the third Europeana Fashion Conference in Antwerp in February 2015.

Over 300.000 items now available in our portal


Europeana Fashion has now made available over 300.000 fashion and costume related objects in its portal.

One of the latest additions comes from Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris, which has already contributed over 1.500 fashion illustrations from its collection.

Video footage of the 2014 conference available


Last April, Europeana Fashion held its second conference at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

The conference's lectures examine digital fashion activities through the prism of Italian fashion houses, museums and archives, and now you can view them online.

Highlights from the outstanding collections of our partners are reframed in a brand-new Tumblr design.

Look back through over a year of some never-seen-before fashion content, from historic costume and ethnic dresses to contemporary fashion.

Third Europeana Fashion Conference


The third annual Europeana Fashion Conference will take place in Antwerp, Belgium during the last week of February 2015.

The conference, hosted by MoMu - Fashion Museum Province of Antwerp, will revolve around "The Future of Fashion Online: Best practices & Use Cases." Follow us on FacebookTwitter and #eurfashion15 to stay posted.
