MESSAGE FROM THE SENIOR PASTOR

This Sunday marks the beginning of a four week focus on the ministry of Hopefield. Over the rest of the month of September we will hear about where God has been at work in this ministry; opening doors and opportunities and providing the necessary resources to say Yes to them.

One of those opportunities and provisions was GBC’s support of Sue Chin in a two-day a week role as a Domestic Violence Counsellor. This has been a huge blessing and we are hoping to support this same role into 2020.

The target is $30,000 and I’d like to encourage you to consider if God is inviting you to participate in the restoration of lives torn apart by domestic violence by contributing to this project. Just like in May when we respond to the invitation to participate with what God is doing around the world I encourage you to consider what you might give to this over and above your regular giving.

Last year just over 70 people contributed to this project and I’d love to surpass this number and, hopefully, surpass the financial target too. Any excess funds raised will go to support case managed clients (another critical ministry of Hopefield). I hope you are looking forward to hearing where God has been at work in Hopefield and to responding with generosity and courage to the invitation of God to join in it!

Please note: All giving to Hopefield is tax deductible.

Announcements and Upcoming Events

Global Leadership Summit

We will be hosting the GLS on the evening of Friday October 11 and all-day Saturday October 12. The cost to those who are part of GBC is $99 ($40 for Students) and this is money well spent. You’ll start hearing more about this soon, but can I encourage you to make this a priority. This year’s list of speakers includes Craig Groeschel, Bear Grylls, Jo Saxton, Danielle Strickland, Patrick Lencioni, and others. It is a brilliant shot in the arm for your leadership and is not confined to leading in church. The principles shared are applicable wherever you lead whether that is a business, school, or other organisation. You can find more information about the GLS Below.
