Thanks to all of you who logged in for our first ever digital mid-year meeting last Sunday. It was nice to see so many of you (and to see you seeing every one else!).

As I made clear in my report (still available on GBC Links) one of our responses to the ongoing restrictions is to encourage Life Groups as a way to maintain and build connection, strengthen and deepen our discipleship, and provide care as necessary.
If you are part of a Life Group, let me encourage you to make it a priority; the one thing each week you will not miss. If you are not part of a Life Group, let me encourage you to work with us on joining one. This will take some time and some “negotiation” as we launch new groups, recruit new leaders, etc.

A good first step is to visit GBC Links and the Groups page under the Life Groups tab which provides an overview of the groups we have and allows you to contact the leader of that group to express interest in being involved. There is also an “expression of interest” form that you can fill out that initiates the process too. And if you feel that God may be inviting you to lead a group, please let us know that you are interested in this so we can begin the conversation with you about this.

A focus on Life Groups is one way for us to remain connected and growing during COVID-19 and beyond and I look forward to sharing more with you as the weeks and months unfold.

Hope to see you Sunday in one of our online services – and maybe consider inviting a couple of people around to participate in the service with you and your family!

Click on the video image below for all the latest news in the GBC Friday Update from our Senior Pastor Marc Rader.

Thank you to those of you who joined us last Sunday for our first ever digital Mid Year Meeting and reading the paperwork beforehand; your participation helped us move forward as a community of faith.  (The Mid Year Meeting documents are still available for perusal on GBC Links Home Page).

Join the Chats this Sunday at GBC Online - It's always encouraging, for everyone, to see who is "in the room" with us so please remember to log in and say "hello" in the chats during the online service.

To be notified of all new GBC content make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel

As Marc mentioned in the Senior Pastors Message above and also in GBC Update (video above) we are encouraging people to get involved in LifeGroups to create connection, discipleship and care in the LifeGroup space.

The LifeGroups tab is now live in GBC Links. Here you can find:
1) a list of all the LifeGroups (leaders, photos and times they meet);
2) Expression of Interest form (if you want to join a LifeGroup);
3) LifeGroup Studies.

If you are in a LifeGroup - make it a priority to attend your LifeGroup weekly.

If you are NOT in a LifeGroup - log into GBCLinks, take a look at the Group List and click on the Expression of Interest link above to let us know what times during the week you'd be able to attend an LG. Any questions please contact GBC's LifeGroup Coordinator - Brett Robinson via email.

We need more LifeGroup Leaders - If you are hearing the invitation of God to step into the space of leading a LifeGroup please email Brett Robinson or Mark Coleman.

The Big Three
This week on The Big Three join Matt Willis, Marc Rader and co-host Jess Baker for a fun and thought-provoking conversation as they discuss the three big questions submitted and upvoted by you (our congregation) via Slido during Sunday's sermon at GBC Online.

This week's BIG Three:
1) What would a dysfunctional community of faith look like?
2) What's our approach to being both socially relevant and keeping Jesus at the centre?
3) How do we keep Jesus in the centre?

If you haven't yet joined us for The Big Three, can we encourage you to not waste another minute - check it out here. It's a deep dive into last week's sermon; a great opportunity to consider what God is saying to us right now and how we can apply that teaching so our lives are changed by Jesus.
