MESSAGE FROM THE SENIOR PASTOR

As we begin our eighth decade as a church I am excited about where the Holy Spirit is leading us. I am also looking forward to our Annual General Meeting this Sunday at 12:30 – I really am. This is more than a business meeting but a chance to share some of what we, as a leadership, feel God is leading us into.
I don’t often get the chance to share the big picture with the gathered community of faith and I really value the opportunity this affords me. I hope you will make the effort to be there on Sunday. Don’t forget that you can download the documents below and that we will have a sausage sizzle from 11:45, a movie for the kids (with light supervision) from 12:30, and we will be done no later than 2:00.

See you there!

Giving Tree

Many of the clients at Hopefield do not have the means to celebrate Christmas like most of us are able. The Giving Tree is an opportunity for the GBC Church family to purchase hampers and gifts for these clients which will be distributed the week before Christmas. The Staff of Hopefield identify the clients so we are able to personalise the gifts to best meet individual needs. Any amount of donation is valued and welcomed and all donations are tax deductible.

The Giving Tree will located in the foyer after the services from the 10th November - 1st December where you can purchase a gift to hang on the tree.

Sutherland Shire White Ribbon Walk
GBC is joining the Sutherland Shire White Ribbon Walk 2019 for the 4th year. The walk starts at 10:30am Friday 22 November from Don Lucas Reserve (just north of Wanda Beach) and is a gentle stroll to Dunningham Park (North Cronulla beach area). An official ceremony follows at 10:45am which includes key speakers and a free BBQ. It's the largest gathering of schools, organisations & our Shire community around the issue of Domestic Violence. Invite your friends & family to join us and be the change - no need to RSVP, just meet us there from 10:15am.
Prayer for Rain

Anyone who would like to pray for rain & the parts of our country facing fires and drought, there will be a time to do so between the 8:30am and 10:30am services this Sunday. We will meet to pray under the cross at the front of the auditorium at around 10am, anyone is free to join in.
