MESSAGE FROM THE SENIOR PASTOR

Thanks to all of you who took some time to pray for the Church Leadership Team meeting last weekend – we joined in the 8:30 service together and then spent the remainder of the morning and early afternoon considering where we believe God is inviting us as a community of faith as well as the central challenges and opportunities we face moving forward.
It was a really fruitful time together and, while there’s still lots of work to do, I’m looking forward to sharing our sense of God’s leading.

One part of this invitation will be shared this week in the last update from Hopefield in this Sunday’s services (that’s a teaser!).

As for the rest, it will have to wait for at least three weeks as I am taking leave as of this weekend. It’s been a big year and I’m certainly ready for a break. With a daughter preparing for her HSC exams, we won’t be going anywhere, but a stay-cation is more my style anyway.

Thanks so much for all your support, encouragement, and prayer this year (and always!).

Marc Rader

This Week: Ep. 33 Songs of the People: Psalm 145

Join Jess Baker and Amaris Rader as they chat with Matt Willis and discuss the top 3 questions submitted via Slido from Matt's sermon last Sunday on Psalm 145.

This week's Big Three Questions:
  1. How do we reconcile that God's goodness is for everyone when scripture also says that he will destroy the wicked?
  2. How do we go about using God's power to reflect his goodness?
  3. Where can we start to live out an all-encompassing life of praise?
Be a part of the conversation - submit and/or upvote your questions through Slido during Sunday's sermon at GBC Online (just snap the Slido QR code which will on the screen).

KidzHome
ACTIVITY SHEETS - We love for our kids to participate during the service at GBC Online. Each week in the Notes section we provide an activity sheet to download and print. Roxane, our Children's Ministry Coodinator, also emails the Activity Sheets to allow you to print it out ready for the Sunday service. If you'd like to be included in this email list please send Roxane an email. We love to see the amazing craft activities the kids are creating during KidzHome / GBC Online - email Roxane photos of your kids' artworks so we can showcase their talent to the rest of our GBC Community.

MEMORY VERSE CHALLENGE - Check out GBC's website for this week's Memory Verse Challenge. Our Kidzone leaders are taking turns to teach a new verse each week in very creative ways. One of our values at GBC is to be Whole-Life Learners; everyone, kids and adults, can benefit from taking up this challenge - so why not give it a go and get God's word into your hearts and minds!
