This weekend the Church Leadership Team (made up of our deacons) is meeting for a half-day to begin to discern where God is leading us as a community of faith in 2021 (Yes, it’s that time of year already!).

We’re going to be meeting for church at 8:30 and then kicking on until the early afternoon.
I am really looking forward to the time together to focus on next steps. I’ve been very appreciative of their support this year, in particular, as we’ve had to make unprecedented decisions. I’d love if you’d take a few minutes to pray for our time together; that our discussions would be guided by the Spirit and that we would discern the direction that the Lord wants for us. I am looking forward to sharing where we feel God is leading us at our AGM in November.

As a senior staff we are also working hard at ways we can connect together. The Hope Drive (the second Sunday of every month) and a prayer focus on Tuesdays are both ways we are encouraging a sense of doing things together. We’ve got a bunch of other ideas we’re exploring, but the most significant is encouraging everyone to get into a Life Group. With the restrictions we are under, gathering in homes is the simplest and most effective way to feel connected to others. You can register your interest or find a group on GBC Links (see the LifeGroup section below). You may also want to invite someone (or several someones) to join you on Sunday for church (with a cuppa, lunch, or dinner afterwards, or before) as a way to connect as well.

Hope to "see" you Sunday!
Marc Rader

This Week: Ep. 32 Songs of the People: Psalm 114

Join Jess and Matt as they grill Mark Coleman on the top 3 questions submitted via Slido from his sermon last Sunday on Psalm 114.

This week's Big Three Questions:
  1. How can focusing on the knowledge of God interfere with our call to action?
  2. What does it look ike for us to act on God's power within us?
  3. How do we as a community get better at recognising God's voice, both individually and corporately?
Be a part of the conversation - submit and/or upvote your questions through Slido during Sunday's sermon at GBC Online (just snap the Slido QR code which will on the screen).
ACTIVITY SHEETS - We love for our kids to participate during the service at GBC Online. Each week in the Notes section we provide an activity sheet to download and print. Roxane, our Children's Ministry Coodinator, also emails the Activity Sheets to allow you to print it out ready for the Sunday service. If you'd like to be included in this email list please send Roxane an email. We love to see the amazing craft activities the kids are creating during KidzHome / GBC Online - email Roxane photos of your kids' artworks so we can showcase their talent to the rest of our GBC Community.

MEMORY VERSE CHALLENGE - Check out GBC's website for this week's Memory Verse Challenge. Our Kidzone leaders are taking turns to teach a new verse each week in very creative ways. One of our values at GBC is to be Whole-Life Learners; everyone, kids and adults, can benefit from taking up this challenge - so why not give it a go and get God's word into your hearts and minds!
