On Wednesday, November 16, 1949 the Hotham Road Baptist Church was officially formed with a student pastor and twenty-two foundation members. We’ve come a long way since then! And while much has changed, a few things remain the same. Today, as then, we look to God for guidance and leading.
Today, as then, we look to one another to discern God’s guidance and leading. Today, as then, we respond as faithfully as we can to the things we believe God is guiding and leading. Our story as a church is, ultimately, a small part of God’s story to restore the world through Jesus.

This Sunday we are going to celebrate God’s faithfulness to us as a community of faith and I hope you can be there to join us. It’s an opportunity for us to look back and see the faithfulness of God, but it is also an opportunity to look forward and to be inspired to follow in the footsteps of those who came before us – those whose stories we know and those we may never know – who have faithfully and courageously taken up his invitation to join him in his grand plan.

See you Sunday!

Giving Tree

Many of the clients at Hopefield do not have the means to celebrate Christmas like most of us are able. The Giving Tree is an opportunity for the GBC Church family to purchase hampers and gifts for these clients which will be distributed the week before Christmas. The Staff of Hopefield identify the clients so we are able to personalise the gifts to best meet individual needs. Any amount of donation is valued and welcomed and all donations are tax deductible.

The Giving Tree will located in the foyer after the services from the 10th November - 1st December where you can purchase a gift to hang on the tree.
