Welcome to High Point Holidays' February Newsletter.
This month, we take a look at some of our new walking holidays in
Burgundy, along with our other self-guided walking holidays in this beautiful region of France.
There are still plenty of our new Walking Holidays Brochures available as hard copies on request but don't forget it's also available online (see below).

This time last year in the UK we were experiencing what was dubbed 'the beast from the east' with snow in many areas. This year, however, it's warm air being brought up from the south; it feels like spring has arrived. If you are looking ahead to your holidays, please don't hesitate to contact us if we can help with those holiday plans for 2019.  Best wishes

Burgundy Self-Guided Walking Holidays

The southern Burgundy region of France is a treasure of historic churches and chateaux set in rolling countryside, carpeted with vines and forests. The Burgundy region is well-known for its fine red and white wines, mostly made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, as well as its gastronomic food.
Secret Burgundy: Chardonnay Vines & Historic Villages
6 nights - £815/€895 - 5 days walking between guest houses
Self guided walking holiday through the famous Maconnais vineyards bordering the Saône, the forests of the high ridges and the historic town of Cluny.
"We loved staying in the guest houses and this is a point of difference to other French walking holidays we have done. They were diverse and interesting and provided an opportunity to interact with both hosts and other guests in a mixture of English and our basic French. Pierreclos was a pure delight and we were so looking forward to returning at the conclusion of the walk. Food, wine and hospitality was outstanding there as well as in Mazille. The quiet tracks and villages were beautiful. High Point Holidays and Burgundy are highly recommended to other walkers. Thank you so much." S.Begg, Australia.
Burgundy: Chardonnay Wine Trail

This walking holiday follows the vineyards south through picturesque Burgundy countryside and historic villages.
"I think this holiday has far exceeded our expectations and hope we will return to experience another region of France. Good to be out of the main tourist areas." E Hodgson, UK.
"The most enjoyable walking holiday we have had in France - easy to follow guidance notes, splendid & varied accommodation - a wonderful overall experience. Would not hesitate to recommend to fellow walkers." C & M. Duck, UK

5 or 7 nights - From £695/€765 - 4 or 6 days walking between guest houses

"Honestly, you couldn't make this holiday any better. Everything worked smoothly, the guest houses were wonderful, the hosts very welcoming, the paths lead exactly where I was told they were going and routes well thought through with plenty to see along the way. Will definitely book again!" I. Davies, UK

"It couldn't have been better. A perfect holiday for us - relatively easy walking; lots to see & do (natural history, churches, farms, language, people); eating & chatting with French people a huge plus; lovely food & drink; stress free because planning & payment already settled; very few non-French people around! Many thanks again for such a good holiday." J. Kay, UK
