Feel the power of Tan Dun’s highly-acclaimed work as Grammy-winning conductor David Alan Miller leads AYS and the National Children’s Chorus in the West Coast premiere of Heaven, Earth, Mankind. Join us for this spectacular concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall as Coleman Itzkoff, AYS Principal Cellist, solos in a piece premiered by Yo-Yo Ma to commemorate China’s reunification with Hong Kong in 1997!

Famed violinist Robert McDuffie joins AYS to play and conduct Philip Glass’ Violin Concerto No. 2 – The American Four Seasons, a work written for and dedicated to McDuffie himself, inspired by Vivaldi’s Baroque Classic.

Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, led by AYS Resident Conductor Marc Williams, will unleash excitement as this passionate musical adaptation of the classic Arabian folk tale reverberates through Royce Hall!
