$319 Million Proposed Budget Up For Review

The road to financial recovery remains elusive for the county. While revenues continue to improve, the county has had to dip into its savings each of the last two years in order to cover expenses and we expect to use savings again in Fiscal Year 2015-16. Although the community responded by passing the Measure Z sales tax last fall, the County looks to use that for enhanced services.

This budget situation was presented to the Board on June 2. Public hearings on the proposed budget are scheduled for June 8 at 1:30 and 6:00 p.m., and final action by the Board of Supervisors is expected on June 23

How Humboldt is reinventing business workflows
