In this Health App Library newsletter, Health Navigator NZ is delighted to share with you our recently created videos for people with COVID isolating at home.

We offer reviews on healthy ageing apps as well as mental wellbeing apps for young people. We also bring you an app designed to improve cultural confidence about Te Ao Māori concepts and an app that uses virtual reality (VR) technology to help users manage their anxiety/phobia.

New COVID-19 videos
Health Navigator NZ is delighted to share with you our recently created videos for people with COVID-19 isolating at home. 
These videos are part of a series, with more being released soon.
Health app library news
These apps support older people to maintain their independence, enabling them to find exercises and activities that improve or maintain their balance and strength. 
These apps help support youth mental wellbeing.  
  • Bite Back  is a self-guided program for 13–16 year olds, to help promote mental welling and prevent or manage symptoms of depression and anxiety.  
  • Whitu 7 Ways in 7 Days is a New Zealand-based app for young people (aged 16-25) who feel over-whelmed or stressed in their current situation. The app provides users with strategies to reduce their anxiety and improve their well-being, including how to deal with COVID-19.
ihi
Ihi is an educational app to improve cultural confidence about Te Ao Māori concepts. The app aims to give people, including health practitioners, confidence in using te reo, supporting them to be more inclusive and connect with, respect and appreciate Te Ao Māori in their daily mahi (work). Find out more.
oVRcome
oVRcome is an app that utilises virtual reality (VR) technology to help users self-create a realistic programme to help manage their phobia. The app helps users manage their anxiety/phobia through graded exposure with virtual reality (VR) technology. Find out more
AIMS for anger management
AIMS for anger management is for people who feel they are struggling to manage their anger. The app provides users with education about anger, opportunities for finding support, the ability to create an anger management plan, anger tracking and tools to help manage angry reactions. Find out more.
Fabulous self care
The Fabulous self care app motivates users to change their habits or behaviour by developing routines. Find out more.
KYND
KYND (Know Your Numbers Dashboard) is an app to check and measure your overall wellness. The app is most useful for people who want to find out how well they are, and if their wellness strategies are making a difference to their scores. Find out more.
breathesimple
The breathesimple app assists in improving breathing related conditions such as sleep apnoea, snoring, stress, and asthma. The app gives users information about breathing techniques and has a feature to measure breathing behaviour. Find out more
