FUSS and Citizens for Better Community (CBC) would like to share the following message from Ms. Govea with Tri-City Volunteers (TCV), and invite volunteers and donors to generously support TCV in helping families who are going through hardships this coming holiday season.
As you may know, the holiday season is the busiest time for us, and this year our services are particularly important because of the slow change in our distressed economy. We are again expecting over 6,000 families, a 50% increase over the typical year, to make use of our organization this November and December.

This means that there is an urgent need to help us handle the increased volume of clients. Recently we were also made aware that holiday items will not be as available for our clients as in previous years. We are asking for a small amount of your time this Thanksgiving and Christmas season to make sure we are working at full capacity to fight hunger in the Tri-City area. Any help would be greatly appreciated whether it is passing out flyers, volunteering with us, having a food drive, or just spreading the word!

I am attaching our current turkey drive flyer if anyone is interested in getting started and I can coordinate any efforts with you to begin. I also have available: a wish list for holiday items, food and clothing drive flyers as well as items to coordinate a toy drive for December. Food or clothing drive barrels can be dropped off and picked up upon your request. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.  Thanks for all you support!
