Dear friends,

Over the past few months Project Team meetings have convened monthly to move our 5 selected priority food system projects forward.
We would like your help to determine the next Dubuque Eats Well Coalition meeting date.  This meeting will allow for time for project updates and discussion for all project teams, as well as an opportunity to identify additional needs & opportunities for Dubuque Eats Well as a whole.
Please indicate your preferred time for the next Dubuque Eats Well Coalition Meeting HERE by October 24th.

You can also find an agenda for the meeting HERE

Please feel free to add any comments or suggestions to the agenda via the googledoc linked above, or contact Carolyn Scherf at

I will let the group know on October 24th when the meeting details are finalized based on results of the doodle. In case you missed the earlier emails from Courtney,  doodles for project teams are also linked below, along with some information about upcoming local food networking and learning opportunities across the state.

Thank you!

Agricultural Urbanism Toolkit Annual Celebration

January 13, 2017: 9:00am - 4:00pm with networking from 4:00-6:00pm
Reiman Gardens: Ames, Iowa

Mark your calendars! We are celebrating our Third year of the Agricultural Urbanism Toolkit-

This FREE, daylong event will celebrate our community partners from the last three years and the amazing coalitions and projects that have been created.
We will also be launching our new program name and menu of partnership opportunities as this program has continued to evolve from the initial support from the Leopold Center of Sustainable Agriculture Marketing and Food Systems Initiative grant.
This event is a wonderful opportunity to hear about the collaborative community process, design projects and ways to engage in next steps with partners around the region. The afternoon will offer opportunities to brainstorm, share, and discuss best management food systems practices with like-minded local food stakeholders. Come prepared to discuss and share new, innovative ideas to move your community projects forward.
This event is open to anyone interested in the local and regional food system: local food coordinators, producers, city government, community planners, consumers, and any and all local food stakeholders; and is an exciting opportunity to connect with other local food leaders in the surrounding area thatare working on new and innovative projects.
RSVP information to follow in November. Please share with your friends and colleagues!
