Walking Fish Cooperative & Community Supported Fishery
Local Seafood, Healthy Communities

We have not had any rain and are enjoying mostly sunny skies since the hurricane passed through a few weeks ago.

We will have a variety of fish in tomorrow's delivery - Speckled Trout, Gray Trout and Sea Mullet. All delicious, local fish!

Members that signed up to receive live, hard crabs will receive fish and crabs.

If you keep the crabs cold, they will remain lethargic and will be much easier to clean. When left out at room temperature, they will become active.

Delivery Details - Thursday, November 3rd

Speckled Trout, Gray Trout and Sea Mullet caught in Back Sound by fisherman Gary Cannon of South River

Pick up Information:
Sarah P. Duke Gardens parking lot

4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

We recently had a member share a fish recipe. It was used with King Mackerel but was excellent with trout fillets.

Rinse and pat dry the fillets. Soak in coconut milk for an hour or so. Dredge in seasoned flour and pan fry about 3 minutes per side. Serve with diced up fresh tomatoes, a squeeze of lemon and hot sauce.
