National Volunteer Week, a week of acknowledging and thanking volunteers all around the country, runs from 16 – 22 June. During this week we at Volunteer New Zealand will be celebrating the women and men of volunteering who gift their time to our communities.
Volunteers are diverse in the skills, networks, qualities and passion they bring to their role. This year we celebrate diversity in Te Reo Maori with the theme “He tāngata! He tāngata! He tāngata!” which translates as “it is people, it is people, it is people”.
Volunteers are the unsung heroes of Aotearoa New Zealand. We want to bring to light the tremendous work they do for our communities.
