Card Maker Spotlight

Gill Middleton makes:
by Exclusive Designer Anna Babajanyan

Card Maker Comments: I printed off this sheet onto glossy photographic paper and cut out the topper and the decoupage. I mounted the topper onto a square pearlescent card and the decoupage using pinflair glue.
I added a folded teabag medallion, an additional butterfly, tiny crosses and a sentiment.

Working With Leather by Elaine Sheldrake
Many moons ago I used to design and work in leather.( No, not kinky leather!) .. serious leather, like reproducing Scottish Targes, the Scottish round shields, with permission of course from the Museums and also for the ones in private collections like the ones in Blair Castle. Then there were Black Jacks & Bombards, Heraldic work, Clan Badges, Coffers, restoration work and designing anything and everything from carved and tooled leather topped chess and wine tables, to bags and belts.
I was invited to have exhibitions overseas as well as in the UK and loved every minute of working with leather, the smell of fresh hides on delivery from the tannery was to me better than the most expensive perfume. Sadly due to health problems I had to give it up and lead a less strenuous life, so now I am doing something that I wanted to do ever since I left school over fifty years ago... painting, photography and designing greetings cards and guess what?... I love it even more!

Being a Grandma is so much fun by Diane Hannah
Two of my granddaughters spent the night recently. We had so much fun. Here they are pictured in their new dresses with matching hair bows, that I made them, having fun and making funny faces for the camera!! Being a Grandma is so much fun. Dressed in their new spring dresses reminds me Easter is just around the corner! Click the link on my Easter Peeps Fold Back Mini Kit to see the whole set of Peeps cards!

After selling 10,000 designs on Craftsuprint, I am now a platinum designer. I have brought quite a few different designs to CUP including the Bay Window Kits, 3 Step Cards, Large Diamond Fold and Special Hinges. My latest design are the Bay Kits. These cards have the main topper that comes out in a semi-circle like a bay window. I'd like to thank all my customers for their support and sales as well as all the lovely messages I have received in the past.
Thank you

My Night with the VIP's by Sheila Rodgers
This is old news but I thought you might find it interesting. A few years ago I owned a bed and breakfast in Craignure on the Isle of Mull. A French film crew booked to stay with me and while they were there I made friends with them and helped them out with researching locations for their film.
They were based in Paris and after they went home we kept in touch. The owner of the business, Jean-Christophe, emailed me and invited me to go to Paris to a film festival and the premiere of their film. Naturally I jumped at the chance!
The festival lasted 5 days and on the final night there was a "Night of the Explorers", which consisted of lots of very famous explorers telling us stories of their exploits. The most famous of these explorers were Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. Imagine my delight when I found out I was invited to a cocktail party afterwards with all the VIPs!
It's a week I'll never forget.
