Exclusive Designer Spotlight
Greetings from -30 deg.C Nova Scotia! I'd like to say a big Thank You to all the crafters for purchasing my sheets and cutting files, and doing such a terrific job making them up. Here's a couple of new cards and some older favourites in my Faux Book series. There are a lot more for many different occasions - just type "Faux Book" in the search box. They are easy to make up and very effective, directions are in the Tutorials area of the Forum. Happy cardmaking everyone!

Card Maker Comments: I printed the design on to super smooth good quality card and cut it out. I then assembled the card as directed and added 'special grandson' as an extra message.
Sandie Burchell Designer of the Year 2012
Thank you for your votes in the Designer of the Year 2012 Competition. I am absolutely delighted to have won again this year and I PROUDLY display my trophies on the mantelpiece. I am always amazed by the creativity of the card makers and look forward to seeing my designs made up, often for the first time, as when I create a new concept I usually make the first one up myself for the tutorial and then design the rest using that same template. I really do appreciate the amount of time, effort, creativity and thought that goes into each and every one, so thank you! A good finished card always helps to sell the design and we certainly have the all the best card makers in the world at CUP! Thanks again for your votes and for purchasing my designs, there is nothing more satisfying to know that you like what I do and I hope I can continue to do it for a long time to come! I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Carol Clarke and Tina Fitch on their success too!
First Craft Fayre of the Year by Amanda McGee
Well Christmas has just finished and I have just done my first craft fayre of the year. I was dubious as dont usually start until March, the weather not been great and Christmas has just passed, would it be worth it?
Well what an amazing day, alot of people through the door and they were spending well. We all had special offers on our stalls so that helped but I met some lovely new friends.
I have included a picture of my stall

My New Year Project! by Diane Hannah
With a new year starting, I decided to create a whole new look for my home. I am estimating this will take about 4 months. My husband an I are doing our entire house in a fresco finish. The left bottom is the unfinished wall half with the fresco and half without. The entire process is done completely by hand. I should have stuck with designing cards! Just kidding. The top left is a portion of the wall finished with texture and paint. The right photo is our fireplace wall finished. The whole room is finished...and this upcoming weekend the wires from the TV and components will be bundled and hidden. One room down...and six to go. I can hardly wait, I am so pleased with the new look!
