Update on Kingston Frost Park
Soup Kitchen update
Thank you to Ashley and Sifiso at the Roving Bantu, and your team, for your kind initiative during lockdown. The soup kitchen has found a new home and we will not be distributing four days a week as before, but just on a Wednesday. Thank you to Erica for working with us to put out fabulous cooked meals, plus Margaret at the Brixton Church for availing the space for us to hand out food. #Community

Reclaimers get their very own truck!
The African Reclaimers Organisation were the worthy recipients of this brand new truck from the People of Japan and UNIDO. The handover ceremony was held at the Brixton Kerk/Church and residents from Brixton were thanked for their participation and enthusiasm to work with reclaimers. #reclaimingthefuture

The pilot has been an overwhelming success in transforming relationships between reclaimers and the community.  Prior to the official start of the pilot, 75% of reclaimers felt welcome in Brixton and 72% felt they were part of the community. Preliminary survey data indicates that these numbers are now approximately 95%!
