GIJN Weekly Bulletin -- Oct. 16, 2014

The ninth Global Investigative Journalism Conference in Lillehammer, Norway, is now less than a year away. Your local hosts at SKUP--Norway's investigative journalists association--went there last week and are pleased to report that plans for GIJC15 look most promising. From their report: our conference venue -- the classic Radisson Blu Lillehammer -- has been refurbished while retaining its old-world charm, with "wall-to-wall carpets, deep armchairs, and wooden walls with romantic paintings." This will be our second Global Conference in Lillehammer, known for the 1994 Winter Olympics and, now, the hit TV series "Lilyhammer."
