GIJN Gets Nonprofit Registration

We're delighted to announce that GIJN has received its tax-exempt registration from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. This means we are a fully registered nonprofit corporation, able to receive funding directly from foundations and individuals. (U.S. taxpayers -- your donations are now 100% tax-deductible!)

How China's Top Investigative Newsroom Digs for Data is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of modern Chinese investigative journalism. GIJN asked Caixin's data editor to share her team 's approach to doing data journalism in a society known for its tight control of information. Her story may surprise Western journalists.

Muckrakers Meet Worldwide
