GIJC15: A Global Investigative Expo

In just three weeks, journalists from a record 120 countries will gather at the 9th Global Investigative Journalism Conference in Norway. We've posted the near-final program here: 160 panels, workshops, and special events. Join us -- flights are still cheap and it's going to be a great time. Be sure to register with our conference app Sched, where you can edit your bio and create your own schedule. And if you can't come, follow us for tip sheets, videos, and more at #GIJC15.

Hotel Deals End Sept. 23

Coming to ‪#GIJC15? Deadline to book the full hotel package is Sept. 23. After that you can register for the conference and meals package, but you must book your own hotel. This means you can't get SKUP's bargain all-included price for hotel and meals.

Networking at GIJC15

Meet your next partner in crime in Lillehammer! We know how important networking is during these intense days, so we've created plenty of chances to do so. There are receptions and happy hours, lengthy half-hour breaks between panels, and meeting rooms for smaller groups (you can sign-up here). Attendees will also get an online survey to help put them in touch with others with similar interests.

Global Shining Light Finalists

We're still rolling out the 12 extraordinary finalists of the Global Shining Light Awards for muckraking under threat. Wow, what a list. Our first nine finalists feature projects from Angola, Armenia, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Kenya, Mexico, S. Africa, and Ukraine.
