March 2020 - A New Book!

Hello, friends! What did you do all winter? I did a lot of things. To begin with, I finished this monster:
Aegis, 48"x24", $6,250
After wrapping up the big painting (and doing a few other paintings), I turned my attention to writing. And not only did I write, but I FINISHED writing. I sat in my frigid basement and wrote and wrote and wrote with my very cold hands until I had finished twelve stories of Hibaria and the Islands. They are stand-alone stories, inspired by twelve paintings I had previously completed. Each one has different characters and though they are stand-alone they begin to tell a larger story...

How to describe this project? It's fantasy and it's for adults and kids perhaps 12 and up. While the focus is the stories (altogether they're about 20,000 words), there are also full-color images, maps, and sketches scattered throughout the text. And a glossary I think. And this star map:
Here are the titles of the stories.

The Mending
The Red Star
Sarah Escapes the Night
The Snow Beast
Emma and the Fox
The Guardians
The Hourglass
Sophie's Tower
The River Road
The Summoning
Hildi and the Wolf
The Dreamtrap

The plan is to do a Kickstarter campaign in the spring or early summer and hopefully have it available by the fall. So stay tuned for more information on that!
