Structurae-Newsletter - 8/2013

Dear <<First Name>> <<Last Name>>,

It's the middle of August and for many still the middle of the summer holiday season. Thus I'd like to offer you a selection of vacation-related content that has to do with vacationing and travelling, specifically air travelling. While one might think that this mode of transportation may not require much physical infrastructure per se, it actually does necessitate quite a number of different structures.

Also, if you are planning a trip to France anytime soon, or are undecided and could use some inspiration, I've also prepared a "Tour de France in Structures" that could help in planning your next trip to France.

Best regards,
Nicolas Janberg

Air transportation structures

For travelling by air, various different types of structures are needed and all together they form an airport. Quite a number of them are listed in Structurae by their respective type of use such as:

A Tour de France in Structures

The following six structures are just a small selection of interesting and important engineering structures and architecture that one may want to visit during a vacation in France. Of course, it's only a small overview of the approx. 12.000 structures that the database currently contains just for France.
