| February is the month to hit the ground running!! So much to be grateful for and so much to do!! Hopefully the summer gave you time to rest and rejuvenate.
It can also be a tricky time, coping with family stress on top of everything else. We’ve formulated a great parent program, organised more meetings and tri monthly walks. We are available 6 days a week over the phone. EPIC is here to support, connect and relieve the pressure so you can better care for yourself and your family.

EPIC is aware of the isolation and powerlessness parents/carers experience when their teens are facing challenges. We are working with community to remove barriers, offer support and create awareness. EPIC Peer support workers have lived experience with teens in crisis. It provides information relating to EPIC community connection and available resources to parents and carers who are experiencing a stressful time with their teen. COMMUNITY PROGRAMS/EVENTS/INFORMATION FOR PARENTS OF TEENS:
SDECC provides support for parents/carers through the Paving Ways programme. This programme provides support, information, and skills & tools for parents whose children are using substances. Parents/carers can contact SDECC directly on 02-9977 0711
Mosman Youth Centre has released it’s term 1 schedule. It’s fun and full on! Mosman Youth Services aims to engage and empower young people in Mosman. The service provides young people who live, work, study or spend time in Mosman with support, ways to foster social connections, and opportunities for community participation. The Youth Centre is open 3-6pm on school days. Check out the program here.
TAFE NSW, SMART & SKILLED FEE-FREE SCHOLARSHIPS The NSW Government's new Smart and Skilled Fee-Free Scholarships mean that students can get the skills they need to get the job they want and their course fees will be covered. Young people (aged 15-30) who meet the Smart and Skilled Fee-Free Scholarship criteria are eligible for a government subsidy which covers their Smart and Skilled course fee. Eligible students can receive a single Fee Free Scholarship in a financial year, and two Fee-Free Scholarships across 4 financial years. Check out eligibility and details here.
NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority) now have a user friendly website for parents and students. Students can now easily see the connections between their subject choices in Year 11 and 12 and the opportunities awaiting them after school. Students can use the overviews to help with Year 11 and 12 subject selection and planning for life after school. DETAILS HERE
Women’s Legal Clinic - The Northern Centre in collaboration with Hunt & Hunt lawyers provide legal service to women relating to domestic or family violence, custody, child and spousal support. DETAILS HERE
