Official Update from Bishop Anne Henning Byfieldof the 16th Episcopal District.
We have heard from Mr. Robert Nicholas of SADA and members of the Haitian Annual Conference. While we are assessing the impact, we do know that in certain parts of the country the infrastructure is devastated(bridges, roads, utility poles, and crops). It is still raining and there may be other impact including mudslides. We are trying to make contact with all of the churches and have not been successful. The 16th District, with the Council of Bishops, and SADA will give a report as soon as we know how best you can help through your stewardship. Thank you for your prayers. We still need you to actively pray as Hurricane Matthew is still moving and people are still impacted.
