 Coming shortly before the launch of the important new Learn 'Office Bearers' publication, this conference is an exciting opportunity for office bearers in local congregations to connect with one another, to be resourced for the tasks ahead, and to be inspired in their important work.  Join us for workshops, speakers, worship, and time to meet others serving across the country!

GA Presbytery Youth Reps
Nominations are being invited for those aged 18-25 to become Presbytery Youth Reps to the General Assembly in May 2016.  Nomination forms need to be completed and sent to Presbytery Clerks by 1 February 2016.  Each presbytery can have one youth rep – make sure yours has one!

Community of Faith conference
This day conference - held in different locations across Scotland - will explore new and exciting ideas, and will resource and inspire ministry in congregations that have few or no children and young people.

Revd Dr Michael Moynagh, based at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, works for Fresh Expressions as Director of network development and Consultant on theology and practice.  He is responsible for facilitating the development of networks of individuals leading fresh expressions of church, as well as drawing together and reflecting on all that is being learnt about fresh expressions of church.  He also has a watching brief on theological education and research.
Michael is author of the Guide and has written extensively in the field of fresh expressions, including what has become a standard academic text book on the subject, Church for Every Context (SCM, 2012) – to which he is currently writing a follow-up.  His other books in the field include: Changing World, Changing Church (Monarch, 2001); Liquid Worship, with Tim Lomax (Grove, 2004); emerging church.intro (Monarch, 2004) and Being Church, Doing Life (Monarch, 2014).

From 1996 to 2013, Michael was a director of the Tomorrow Project, which worked with senior personnel in Government and the private sector to explore the future of people’s lives.  During that time he wrote extensively on social issues such as the future of the workplace, the future of globalisation and the future of the life course.
Michael is married with two children and five grandchildren.

The Committee on Church Art & Architecture
Any alteration to the exterior or interior of a Church building that affects its appearance must be referred to CARTA for approval, preferably at an early stage.  Please complete the General Application Form in the first instance.
CARTA also advises congregations and presbyteries regarding the most appropriate way of carrying out renovations, alterations and reordering of interiors, along with the installation of stained glass, tapestries, memorials, furniture and furnishings. Ask CARTA or check out their Quick Guides.
