PGA of America Announces 2023 Special Award Recipients
|
|
The Section is extremely excited to have TWO outstanding Met Section Professionals as PGA of America National Award Honorees! Jack Druga has been named the Bill Strausbaugh Award winner, and Katie Wiedmar of Winged Foot GC received Merchandiser of the Year in the private category! Congratulations to both Jack and Katie on their recognition.

There are still boxes available for the Crowell Bowl V! This is a 50/50 pool, which means 50% of the money collected will go straight to the Met PGA Foundation. Squares will be assigned at random. Participants are welcome to purchase more than 1 square!
How to Purchase Squares:
To purchase squares, Venmo $100 (per square) to Brian Crowell @bcrowellpro
Please title the payment "Crowell Bowl 5" and include your name and contact information.
Squares will be available from now until 2/12/23, or until board is filled. At 5pm on 2/12/23, Brian will go LIVE on Facebook to randomly draw scoring numbers for AFC and NFC. On game day (Feb. 12) be sure to tune in to Brian's Facebook Live winner announcement at the conclusion of each quarter and watch the action unfold!

Met PGA Compensation Survey
|
|
We have restructured our Met PGA Compensation Survey to a digital platform for ease of use, updating some of the terminology in the process. As you will see, we are also gathering data about golf operations budget and total rounds to create some comparables regarding service levels.
PGA Members earn 1 PDR for completing the survey and an additional 1 PDR for opting into the PGA of America survey.

PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship
|
|
The PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship application for the 2023-2024 school year is now available. You can access the application by clicking this link.
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
Students must have at least a 3.4 cumulative GPA, be a child or grandchild of a PGA Member in good standing, and who hasn’t exceeded the limit of two scholarships during undergraduate studies. Scholarships are not available for graduate students.
