We hope its been a good week for you all. For the Aquatots team it has been a busy week whilst we continue implementing our training and processes ready for our return.
Did this week’s Government update change our plans?
Put simply, no. Like you, we all watched Tuesday’s government update with interest and anticipation, and admittedly we did hope that swimming would be on the list for returning from the 4th July but sadly, it seems we have to wait a little longer. We do know that we are in a queue of industries that are being considered for restarting and an opening date, we are informed, is to be announced within a couple of weeks. In the meantime, our management, along with many others in the industry have written to Government officials asking for clarification of intended opening plans.
For Aquatots our preparation and training of our teachers and staff is underway and there is a lot of work to do. This work will not stop, and is continuing, while we wait for the government go ahead.
The good news from Tuesday, was the reduction of social distancing to 1m+.
The relaxing of the 2m requirement, does help to make our planning a little easier. We are observing closely, other industries that are permitted to open now and will learn from their experiences over the coming weeks.
So whilst Tuesday may not have been a time to celebrate for all those in the swimming industry, we do believe it really is only a matter of time before pools start to reopen. We will in the meantime, continue to get ready behind the scenes.
We are getting ready and we will see you soon!!
In the mean time we have some great new fun activities to keep our little ones busy along with a new skills at home video.
