Richard Davidoff given the boot as section 24 court appointed manager after expulsion from ARMA, IRPM and Propertymark

Richard Davidoff was removed earlier this month as the section 24 court appointed manager of 178 Holland Road in west London after a highly critical tribunal decision last year had resulted in his termination as a court appointed manager and, in turn, expulsion from a number of trade bodies

Property manager Richard Davidoff, of ABC Estates, has been dropped as a section 24 court appointed manager because a previous, highly critical tribunal decision also resulted in expulsion from assorted trade bodies.

£26.7m earned by FCA authorised firms owned by managing agents in years 2016-2021 with net profit margins hitting 73%

Managing agent owned firms appear to be far more profitable than large insurance brokers

Available data shows number of employees remaining stable, suggesting no significant increase in workload as a result of Grenfell

Easiest way of ensuring full disclosure is to produce certificates of insurance showing cost of the policy … and total of remuneration earned by all parties

LKP’s response to the Financial Conduct Authority report on leasehold buildings insurance

Before giving our input on the questions asked in the report, we set out our ongoing concerns and our views regarding the FCA’s historic lack of action in an area of housing that the government accepts impacts many of the 3.2 million leasehold flats in England.

We would like to thank our contacts across the insurance industry for their input to our understanding of these issues.

1/ LKP, together with the All Party Parliamentary Group on leasehold and commonhold reform, has repeatedly raised concerns with the FCA and the Financial Ombudsman about the issues relating to high commissions, poor levels of cover, limited rights of consumer redress, the lack of transparency in the market and the lack of effective regulatory oversight by the FCA.
